MTS Duet 2 dual-SIM Gingerbread phone with CDMA support launched


MTS has quietly launched a new dual-SIM smartphone, the Duet 2 in India. The new MTS Duet 2 is the successor to the MTS Duet launched earlier this year, and comes with upgraded hardware
specifications. However, the telecom service provider has not revealed the price of the MTS Duet 2, yet.
The MTS Duet 2 features a 4-inch TFT LCD display with 320x480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 7625A processor and 256MB of RAM. It comes with 120MB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It sports a 3.2-megapixel CMOS fixed-focus rear camera. The device runs the outdated Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and 3.5mm audio jack.
The MTS Duet 2 is a dual-SIM handset with CDMA+GSM support. The device comes with a 1650mAh battery that can deliver up to 240 minutes of CDMA talktime and 250 hours of CDMA standby time (GSM figures not provided).
MTS rolled out the MTS Duet, a dual-SIM Android smartphone for Rs. 4,799 back in June. It features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320x480 pixel) capacitive touchscreen, and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon S1 processor with a 1GHz clock speed. It features a 3-megapixel camera and offers expandable storage up to 32 GB. The dual-SIM device supports CDMA + GSM connectivity. It comes with a 1,200 mAh battery.
